How to Build High-Quality Backlinks

Your prospects' inboxes in 2022 will be full of cold emails from people who want to sell or pitch something to them. If you want any chance of success, you need to do your homework, personalize your emails on a high level, and provide value to your prospect. The problem is that everyone has started using the same email templateBrian Dean published in 2013. Instead of using the traditional Skyscraper Technique, implement the upgraded version of it: Upgrade your email to make it personal and unique to the recipient. Last year, I sent 12K emails, with an average conversion rate of 12%. Google now penalizes websites that use reciprocal link building tactics. If you want to improve your website's ranking, focus on less risky tactics. Don't rely on automation when building links from high-quality websites, don't rely on automated responses. One of the key rules for link building is: if you ask an editor for a link, you should offer something valuable in return. For example, I gave the editor access to our affiliate program, offered him a free Hunter package, and offered to write the content for the listicle. No one wants to be spammed with mindless automation. To increase the likelihood that your cold link building emails will be successful, follow these three steps: (1) Do your research on the prospect beforehand; (2) personalize your email; and (3) offer something of value in exchange for the guest post pitch (e.g., keyword research you did for them). If you don't hear back from a prospect, don't be afraid to follow up. You're much more likely to get a response if you include a personalization. I noticed that you're not ranking for the "how to check if someone is using my identity" keyword and I think it would be easy for you to rank for that keyword since your domain is so relevant and powerful. You should always explore new ways and strategies for link building and these are the four that help me get 90% of the links we build. Non-reciprocal links are better because they're not reciprocated and the search engines don't see them as a link exchange. Look for companies in your field that regularly submit guest posts, and see if they would be interested in cross-referencing links and mentions in future posts. You can typically add 1-3 backlinks to your company in one guest post. Listicle outreach is an effective but underestimated link building tactic. In just three months, I got 96 new backlinks from 54 referring domains using this tactic only. The Surround Sound tool from Semrush can help you find valuable link-building opportunities. It can take a long time to build up one link, but you can lose links very quickly. It takes less time to reclaim lost opportunities than it does to start from scratch. If you want to build high-quality links now, you should use more personalized approaches than mass outreach and emails. Building long-lasting relationships will give you better results than thinking of each person as a one-time opportunity. The quicker you reach out to an editor, the more likely you are to get your link back.
