In Salesforce's State of Marketing report, marketers looked back on the challenges and triumphs of 2022. Nearly three-quarters of them said that meeting customer expectations is more complex than it was a year ago. 83% of marketers said that their organizations engage customers in real-time across one or more marketing channels. A third of marketers find that working within a budget is a challenge, and this is especially true for those in the life sciences, manufacturing, and technology sectors. The use of artificial intelligence tools is steadily increasing among marketers. The data demonstrates that companies are starting to understand this and are adapting. A growing number of marketers are pivoting to new channels to stay in front of their audience. The most significant growth in marketing adoption was seen in channels like TV/OTT, digital content, and video. 88% of customers expect companies to state their values clearly.
